The Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) Program runs over two days and will expose students to what to expect when employed as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. The program will provide students with a basic understanding of a career in maintenance and sustainment within the Aviation industry through some short, hands-on practical skills. There will be an opportunity to participate in an exclusive industry tour as well as a look at the Navy's simulators and Warfare Centre located at HMAS Albatross. There are four sessions available.
Career pathways:
The aim of the program is to encourage students to continue learning by enrolling in the MEA20418 Certificate II Aeroskills at Bomaderry TAFE in Semester 2 this year. Jobs are available now and from 2025 onwards in Defence Industry and other aviation organisations.
