How to apply
Congratulations for making the choice to study at UOW! We're here to support your choices and help you find your dream career. At UOW you'll be joining students who are all working towards the same thing - becoming part of a community of graduates who are recognised by global employers as being among the best in the world.
Applying through a UOW representative or agent
For international students interested in studying at UOW, we strongly encourage you to speak to a UOW representative about eligibility, the application process, course interests, and any other questions you may have.
An international education agent will help you navigate the application process, ensure that you submit all necessary documentation, and provide you with visa counselling services. For your nearest agent, please see our agent list.
Applying directly
If you would like to apply directly, you can start the process through our Apply online portal. Please note, due to the high volume of applications received from some regions you may be prompted to apply via an agent and will not be eligible to apply directly.
Applying through UAC
If you are currently studying an Australian senior secondary qualification, the New Zealand NCEA level 3, or the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBPD), you may choose to apply through the Universities Admissions Centre.
Processing times
You will receive the outcome of your application within two to four weeks for coursework programs or up to six weeks for research programs.
Documentation requirements
You need to provide copies of all academic records, marksheets or transcripts of studies previously undertaken. Please see further information about supporting documents.
Some courses have additional entry requirements. For information regarding these additional requirements check the entry requirements links in the individual programs in Course Finder.
Special circumstances and procedures

If you will not have a parent, legal guardian or approved relative living with you in Australia, you may apply for a course offered by UOW College Australia, which accepts students under the age of 18 under the following circumstances:
- you are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, or a relative over the age of 21 who has been approved by your parent/guardian AND this arrangement is approved by the Department of Home Affairs; or
