Why did you choose the University of Wollongong over other universities and specifically UOW Liverpool?
I chose the Liverpool campus because it is close to my home, so I do not have to travel too far. I always wanted to study at a reputable university with a stimulating environment and I can say that UOW Liverpool has exceeded my expectations and is helping me in achieving my dreams.
What do you see as the advantages of being able to attend a university close to home?
I work three days a week, and on some days, I work in the morning and attend classes in the evening, which I can do as the university is close to my home. It allows me to be flexible with my work commitments and family responsibilities. In addition, I am familiar with the surrounding area which has made my transition to university life much easier. It also provides me with a sense of comfort and security as I am a bit hesitant about living in a new environment.
Why did you choose your degree?
My sister is a nurse in India, and she is my inspiration. I completed another degree before starting my Bachelor of Nursing. I am so glad I kept the flame inside me burning to continue studying to achieve my goals.
Describe what you enjoy the most about being a student at UOW Liverpool.
I love the discussions and group activities in classes. People here are very supportive and friendly. I feel like I have known them for years after only one semester here. In addition, the weekly activities keep me interested to come to the uni and have a good experience.
In three words, please describe your perceptions of UOW Liverpool.
Exciting, multicultural and supportive.
What are your career ambitions?
I want to be a travel nurse in the next few years. After completing my degree, I would like to be a registered nurse and gain some experience in Australia. Then, I would look for contracts from other countries to start my career as a travel nurse.
