Make the most of Wollongong's climate and its quiet, leafy streets by walking to campus.
All paths on campus are shared paths and cyclists must give way and alert pedestrians to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Why not walk one way and get the free shuttle bus in the other direction? Even if you commute further, you can get regular exercise by walking to and from your train station or bus stop. North Wollongong Station is about a 20 minute walk from the campus.
UOW Security provides a safety escort service to staff and students. They are generally provided after dark to staff or students returning to their motor vehicles, or walking to the bus stops on campus or in Northfields Avenue. To arrange an escort, contact UOW Security or download the SafeZone app.

E-scooters
Wollongong City Council is currently trialling shared e-scooters across approved locations around the Wollongong area. The e-scooters are operated by Neuron.
The e-scooters are dockless, and can be located, booked and unlocked using the Neuron app.
While the e-scooters can be used on many streets around the campus, they are not permitted to be used on the campus and will power down when ridden onto the campus. Designated parking zones are located along Northfields Ave.
