Interim Pro Vice-Chancellor (Industry and Engagement)
Dr Tamantha Stutchbury is a leader with a multifaceted career spanning entrepreneurship, innovation, STEM, research translation, industry engagement and small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) growth. She holds a Bachelor of Medical Chemistry (Hons), a PhD in Biochemistry and a Master of Management. With over a decade of experience in pre-clinical cancer therapeutic research, Dr Stutchbury was instrumental in the research leading to the spin-out of the biotech company FivepHusion from the University of Wollongong (UOW).
As the Director of iAccelerate, UOW's business and startup incubator, she has successfully integrated researchers and students into the ecosystem, creating a dynamic environment for innovation and entrepreneurship. Dr Stutchbury is dedicated to fostering partnerships that translate research into real-world applications, benefiting both the University and the broader community.
She is a passionate advocate for inclusive leadership and the empowerment of diverse communities, having led numerous initiatives that support women and girls in STEM and entrepreneurship. Dr Stutchbury’s leadership style is characterised by empathy and collaboration, creating inclusive environments where diverse ideas can thrive.
