MIND the GaP has rooms that can be hired for community training purposes or service delivery for healthcare providers. Room types and fee structures are outlined below.
Venue / room hire
Flexible Learning Centre
(training seminar room)
Capacity: 50 people theatre-style without tables or 24 people with tables (pending desk configuration).
Equipment: audio visual projector, moveable whiteboards/pin boards and an attached kitchenette with tea and coffee making facilities.
Meeting Room
Capacity: 8 - 10 people.
Equipment: Video conference system (Webex or Zoom), large wall mounted screen with HDMI connection, wall mounted whiteboard, and conference phone.
Consult Rooms
Equipment: Three standard rooms with a lounge and armchair, desk, desk chair, computer or computer dock, and phone. One family room with a lounge and two armchairs, desk, desk chair, computer dock, phone, and a meeting table with four chairs.
Medical Assessment Rooms
Equipment: Standard clinic room with examination bed, sink, desk, phone, desk chair, and two patient chairs.
Fee Categories for MIND the GaP Room Hire
(All rates include GST)
- Community and UOW partners (No hire fees)
- Not-for-profit and Internal clients (50% hire fee)
- Businesses and individual clients (Full hire fee)
- Special purposes as approved by the Vice Chancellor or MIND the GaP Project Manager.
- Bodies directly connected with UOW with approval.
- Charitable functions or meetings of public or community interest.
All rooms are available at no cost.
- Not-for-profit activities run by service organisations for example:
- Rotary
- Scouts
- Apex
- Lifeline
- Internal UOW bookings not approved for Client 1 Category.
- Bodies directly connected with UOW not approved for Client 1 Category.
- Flexible Learning Centre:
- Hourly rate: $25.00 per hour
- Daily rate: $165.00 (6 hours or more)
- Meeting Room:
- Hourly rate: $15.00 per hour
- Daily rate: $99.00 (6 hours or more)
- Medical Assessment & Consult Rooms
- Price on application (POA) for half and full day rates. May require separate Licence Agreement
All other businesses/organisations/individuals including but not limited to:
- Business Firms.
- Political or religious groups.
- Government Departments and educational institutions.
- Events, conferences, trainings, or activities run by professional associations, societies, businesses or individuals where course or admission fees are charged to participants.
- Others.

- Hourly rate: $50.00 per hour
- Daily rate: $330.00 (6 hours or more)
- Meeting Room:
- Hourly rate: $30.00 per hour
- Daily rate: $198.00 (6 hours or more)
- Medical Assessment & Consult Rooms
- Price on application (POA) for half and full day rates. May require separate Licence Agreement
