Design

When designing any new piece of equipment or process, it is important to take into account any hazards which may be created as a result of the design process. New infrastructure around the University is an incredible opportunity for our community to grow, but does come with added risks for staff, students, visitors and construction workers. Issues such as noise, confined spaces, demolition and waste management can all be dangerous for our University's people and environment, and as such, it is vital that any new design goes through the Design Risk Register to minimise any negative impacts.

The management of the final Design Risk Register is at the discretion of the project site manager. Any concerned personnel involved with or affected by the project can contact the Wellbeing, Health and Safety Unit to report any incidents or to get more information about the design project.
