Mobile phones
Using mobile communication devices can cause distraction and have an affect on your reaction times and awareness, especially in high risk areas such as working with plant or working at heights.
Even having a phone on vibrate can cause distractions within the office.
Consider putting your device on silent or Do Not Disturb Mode during office hours.
Examples of mobile communication devices can be:
- Mobile phones
- Two-way radios
- Tablets, notebooks or laptops
- Music or other media players
Further information on mobile communication devices can be found at the Safe Work NSW website.
