The team at Woolyungah Indigenous Centre is proud to announce that a total of 100 Indigenous students graduated from UOW in 2020!
To recognise this achievement, WIC hosted a graduation photoshoot day which saw 28 graduates and their families come together from all over NSW to celebrate their success together. Graduates wore the graduation gown, cap and Aboriginal stole and had their photograph professionally taken by WIC alumni Stephanie Rooney.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Students) Professor Julia Coyle attended on the day, meeting with graduates, and congratulated them on their achievements.
The event followed a graduate calling campaign where WIC’s Student Employability Coordinator contacted each graduate, offering ongoing individualised assistance for the first 12 months post-graduation.
Graduates were also mailed a UOW graduation bear and a card with an original artwork designed by Yuin artist Samantha Hill.
Congratulations to our deadly 2020 graduates!
