Recently, Woolyungah Indigenous Centre (WIC) held an Alumni Dinner, bringing together former Indigenous UOW students to strengthen professional and community networks.
Held at Villa Dora in April, two current student ambassadors, Emma Arnold and Beau Beveridge, hosted the dinner seeing 60 UOW graduates attend a night of activities, food, competitions and laughter. The dinner also presented current student ambassadors with an opportunity to speak with Alumni and gain a wealth of insight into their intended future careers.
Jaymee Beveridge, WIC’s executive director, was impressed at the response from former students in attending the evening. She discussed the importance of the event, not just for the attendees but for future Indigenous Australians engaging in higher education at UOW.
