Brittney Angus, proud Wiradjuri and Ngunnawal woman, and now a Bachelor of Communication and Media and a Bachelor of Commerce alumni, discusses her experience completing a double degree.
Brittney is a creative person and from a young age hoped to own her own business and pursue visual design. In school, she favoured business studies and visual arts, which ultimately led her to choose this degree, majoring in visual communication design and marketing.
“I mixed everything together that I enjoyed the most.”
During her degree, Brittney immersed herself with real-world experiences. She completed three internships through the Career Trackers program and completed another marketing role in her final years of study.
She is grateful for the opportunities and support she received during her study, including building connections to the industry via real-life work experiences. Brittney is also immensely grateful for Woolyungah Indigenous Centre in supporting her studies and found that they were always there to cheer her on. “I thank the staff and students for always being there”.
She has since been offered a job at Destination NSW – a credit to her and the skills she has learnt throughout her degree. She plans are to come back to study, as she loves learning.
Good luck with your future Brittney and congratulations on graduating with a Bachelor of Communication and Media and Bachelor of Commerce.
