On this page, you'll find a range of services, resources, and information to help you and your students prepare for university.
If you have questions or would like more information, please reach out to the UOW staff member for your school region.
If your students would like to stay up to date with all things UOW please encourage them sign up to our Future Student Newsletter.
Our school engagement initiatives encompass three key offerings:
- Senior Student Support Activities provide intensive and targeted programs for Year 12 students.
- On campus activities such as UOW Discovery Days, which offers three separate events at selected UOW campuses that offer taster sessions for students in years 8, 10 and 12.
- In-school, on campus and virtual activities tailored for various stages of the school year, spanning across different disciplines such as STEM, CAPA, English, HSIE and Languages.
Get your school involved
The UOW Schools Engagement team coordinate a range of activities and events for your students both on-campus and at your school. These include UOW Discovery Days, Early Admission workshops, Year 10 Subject selection presentations, Information evenings, Uni 101 presentations and personalised consultations, to name a few! We are here to support your students as they research their options after high school and can work with you to meet your school requirements. View the list of available school programs & events and contact a School Engagement Specialist to book.
The Subject Specific Activities Portal will show you our list of available discipline-specific activities that you can browse and book for your school.
Feel free to share these resources with any of your colleagues, such as subject coordinators, so that they can create their own profile and make bookings for specific classes, groups, etc.
Supporting Year 12 students
Early Admission is UOW's early offer program for Year 12 students. We'll assess the results you've got so far and can reward you with an early offer before you sit your first exam.
The University of Wollongong regularly holds and attends information sessions for prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students. These events are designed to give students the information they need about choosing courses and studying at UOW.
Our scholarships reward and encourage students who have demonstrated excellence in areas of academia, leadership, community and sport. We are also committed to providing support to students experiencing financial and other educational disadvantages through equity scholarships and grant programs.
