Student mentoring program
Become a part of the EIS mentoring program, spearheaded by accomplished EIS senior students and supported by committed faculty staff. Co-designed for EIS students by EIS students, it nurtures a sense of community and offers a platform for your voice to be heard and supported. Secure official UOWx recognition while actively engaging in the program.
Joining the program as a mentee you can expect:
- guidance and assistance in navigating lectures, tutorials, and UOW systems
- support to familiarise you with your faculty, school, and UOW success and support services
- your mentor will share their UOW insights, address your queries, and leverage their experience
- program events will help you build a support network through social and study sessions
- an EIS peer mentor will serve as your partner for an impactful and supportive journey throughout the session
- attend an orientation session to find out more about the program and mentor and mentee's roles and responsibilities.
Note: EIS student mentors cannot provide you with academic advice.
Joining the program as a mentor you can expect:
- to develop your skills in leadership and problem-solving
- be provided with the opportunity to share your positive UOW experiences
- develop a range of communication and cross-cultural skills
Applications open during orientation (autumn and spring sessions) and close at the end of week 2.
