CHAOS THEORY is a powerful new performance work fusing idiosyncratic choreography and character-based story telling. Directed by Martin del Amo in collaboration with 2nd Year Performance and Theatre students, the piece playfully explores notions of order, disorder, complexity and randomness.
On a stripped-back stage, evocatively lit, a mesmerising physical score is forged from everyday movement and gradually unfolds. It is interspersed with captivating stories, ranging from the utterly fantastical to the hyper real. Sometimes whimsical, sometimes profound but always unpredictable - they conjure a cast of oddball characters including a girl who claims she can communicate with sharks, a wannabe-detective with a fear of caves and a blood splatter analyst in the making.
