Ya-angarra means paperbark in the Dharawal language. A team of literary scholars from the University of Wollongong, along with Evelyn Araluen Corr (Bundjalung, Sydney University) are framing their efforts to decolonise their classrooms through this Indigenous knowledge.

Together, they have designed the basis for a Web Resource for teaching Indigenous literature and its relation to non-Indigenous literary theory. This will be a day to discuss, consult and feedback on the activities of the team. Dr Jeanine Leane will discuss the topic of “Aboriginality, Literature and Education” with the team and with assembled community members.
