The overall theme of the MBA Conference is Responsible Leadership for a Changing World. Following inaugural address by Professor Grace McCarthy, Head, School of Management and Marketing, the Keynote speech will be delivered by Dr Hubert Escaith, former Chief Statistician of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and a former director at the United Nations Organisation (UNO). He presents on global megatrends, highlighting the role leadership will play in ushering a more evolved, more resilient and more inclusive world order.
Other speakers include:
- Zoe Harris, Managing Director of Impact Zones. Her presentation focuses on how the pandemic has affected investment and how businesses could undertake sustainable business practices in foreign direct investment.
- Wayne Dunn, President and Founder of CSR Training Institute, and an alumnus and fellow of Stanford Business School. His presentation is on how the path to making profit, including creating and preserving shareholder value should be remapped to focus on social value, social responsibility and environmental stewardship.
- Joshua McLaren and Andrew McCullough, founders of Disaster Bros present on disaster risk reduction with a particular focus on the approaches to reducing exposure of communities to disasters. This will be followed by a brief presentation by Bounce Readiness’s Director, Cheryl Hambly who provides client stories on recovery management, and Mohan Guruswamy, World Free Zone Organisation’s Chief Knowledge Officer, who presents on ways to contribute to the prosperity of countries as they relate to trade in goods and services. Together, they participate in a live Q&A session.
- Renee Whiteside, People and Culture Leader and Sara Fuller, Head of Client Delivery for Institutional Wealth Business at human resources consulting firm, Mercer interview each other in a live format on business approaches to adapting and transitioning their workforce to reflect the new realities of today. They will also participate in Q&A session afterwards. Their session will be supplemented by Chrysalis Consulting Solutions’ Founder and CEO, Ramakrishna Movva, who through his extensive experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Unilever, and Emirates, delivers a presentation on key competencies for future of work.
