About the event
Join us in virtually celebrating International Women’s Day 2021 with a panel of inspiring female UOW alumni and academics from Australia and across the globe.
Meet our panel
- Anuradha Gupta, Deputy CEO of Gavi- the Vaccine Alliance (Geneva)
- Leisa Sadler, CEO of Dress for Success (Sydney)
- Liesel Wett, CEO of Australian Pathology (Canberra)
Moderated by Professor Grace McCarthy, with an introduction by Dr Belinda Gibbons.
The global theme of IWD 2021 is “Choose to Challenge”.
Together women can actively choose to challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, improve situations and celebrate women’s achievements. Collectively, creating change through challenge.
Our panellists challenge the status quo, leading with purpose and advocating for women in their respective fields. Whether that be by encouraging gender representation in the boardroom, supporting the health of women and children or improving the financial independence and confidence of women. Each are a prime example of how business leaders can make a positive and lasting impact on society, and the world.
