You are invited to a Holocaust commemoration, Friday 3 PM 29 April, to be held at the University of Wollongong, Innovation Campus, Building 233, room 115.

The annual event is jointly held with the Australasian Union of Jewish Students –UOW and organised by Professor Greg Rose from ANCORS.
 
The 2-hour event will include a memorial ceremony and participatory selected readings from The Light of Days - the untold story of women resistance fighters in Hitler’s ghettos, by Judy Batalion. Published in 2021, this award-winning bestselling book sets out and skilfully presents narratives of extraordinary courage, originally published in Yiddish in 1946, that are insightful, surprising and intense. 

After the presentation, there will be a welcome prayer to the Sabbath and then dinner for those wishing to join at 5:30 PM.
