Come along to write and connect with your fellow HDR candidates in a dedicated space on campus to focus on your thesis, away from distractions and your usual work environment.
Over three days, from Monday, 6 November to Wednesday, 8 November, 2023 the Graduate Research School will be running another of our Write & Connect sessions, where HDR candidates at any stage are welcome to come along to write and connect with fellow candidates.
Each day consists of two writing blocks with a longer lunch break in between. The structure of each writing block will follow the Pomodoro Technique, which involves writing in silence for 25-minute stretches of focused concentration and a 5 minute ‘brain’ breaks for talking, stretching, and 'recharging'. This cycle will occur a number of times within each block.
You are welcome to work on whichever written task you would like – even transcription, reading or analysis – with no set exercises or group work.
Session attendance is capped for each Write & Connect day. To participate, candidates must submit an Expression of Interest Form, using the registration link below, by Friday, 3 November, 2023.
