Skill Building to Find Your Audiences and Communicate Your Research

This interactive workshop, presented by award-winning journalist and UOW educator, Dr Mary Papakosmas, aims to help you identify opportunities to communicate with audiences and develop the key skills that help tell your research story.

Key topics include:

  • Recognising and understanding your audience
  • Creating a clear and impactful message
  • Working towards being a “gifted” presenter – with preparation and skill

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a clearer understanding of how you can take control of promoting your research, and more confidently approach your next opportunity as an engaging and knowledgeable speaker.

**This workshop is available to all HDR candidates and is recommended to those interested in developing their research communication skills, especially in the lead-up to 3MT.
