Donate to the Jack Goldring Memorial Fund
Jack Goldring was an educator and leader in the university sector, a distinguished law reformer, and a highly regarded judge of the District Court of NSW. He created a young and dynamic law school according to who he was as a leader and his foresight for the type of legal industry leaders he felt society would need in the future.
The School of Law established the Jack Golding Memorial Scholarship to pay tribute to his contribution to law and justice, to legal education and reform. The scholarship is awarded to a final year student who demonstrates his same passion for social justice.
To offer this scholarship on a permanent basis, we need enough funds to continue the scholarship.
By donating to the Jack Goldring Memorial Fund, we can offer this scholarship on an ongoing basis. We will continue his legacy through ambitious students with a passion for making a difference through education, advocacy, and access to justice, public policy, and law reform.

I am honoured and overwhelmed to have received the scholarship. I’m very grateful to the School of Law, and to Professor Goldring, who has left an immense legacy for law students... There is a lot of disadvantage and inequality in the legal system, and my plan, when I finish university, is to help those who might have been unable to otherwise access legal services. I would love to work for Legal Aid or the Aboriginal Legal Service. They both provide a really important service to the community.
