Students and staff are automatically members of UOW Library, but you can join if you live, work, or study at HSC level in the Illawarra or Eurobodalla districts or by agreement.
Library membership
UOW students and staff
Your student/staff card is your Library card, and you can use it to borrow items from Wollongong Campus Library and regional or metropolitan campus libraries.
If you need a new student ID card, see AskUOW or the frontline service at your local campus.
Alumni
UOW Alumni are welcome to join the Library free of charge. Membership must be renewed every three years but you'll be sent a notification as a reminder.
Simply complete the Library membership form and your application will be processed and confirmed within 3-7 business days.
HSC
As an HSC student in the local area, you can join the Library as a guest member. This means you can borrow books, use study spaces, and access a range of online material.
To process your membership, we'll need the following supporting material:
- your current student card OR a letter from your school confirming your student status
- current driver's license OR photo ID
When ready, complete the online Library membership form.
Guests
You may qualify for guest membership if you live, work, or study (at HSC level) in the Illawarra, Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla or Bega districts, if you study at the TAFE NSW Moss Vale campus, or by agreement.
Guest members can borrow from their local collection. Please see your local UOW Library for details.
Guest library membership is valid for one year. To renew, see Library staff at the Loans Desk. Please bring photo ID.
Joining the Library is free (unless you wish to sign up for ULANZ reciprocal borrowing which has an annual fee of $50).
Complete the online Library membership form. Your card will be ready to collect next business day (Monday - Friday). You will need to bring your driver's licence or photo ID.
