Last week the Library got on board with Stress Less Week as part of Mental Health Month to support our students during the final week of session.
We ran a lucky dip with students choosing positive affirmations, chatterbox origami, inspirational memes, or Chuppa Chupps to encourage them to take some time for themselves and have a treat. 1000 students came up to us to choose an item!
We also encouraged students to share with us their favourite books to inspire others to unwind with some leisure reading and received over 190 suggestions. Here are some of the picks: Where The Crawdads Sing, The First Third, Boy Swallows Universe and Normal People.
Our partners in Pulse used our space to host some great activities, including student food drops of a delicious range of free snacks, a colouring-in competition, crafternoons in the student lounge, and an affirmation station to share positivity and encouragement with others for exam week. The affirmations are being displayed at the UniShop as a wall of positivity.
It’s been great fun to engage with students and we’re looking forward to next time!
