On May 17, the UOW Library joins the global celebration of IDAHOBIT—the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia. This significant day raises awareness about the discrimination faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals worldwide.
Breaking the Silence is this year's global theme, aiming to challenge stigma, provide hope, and extend solidarity to those who cannot openly express their identities.
The UOW Library proudly stands as a safe and supportive space for all members of our community, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. We'll be decking the foyers of the Shoalhaven and Wollongong Libraries in rainbow colours to celebrate and acknowledge this important day. And don't forget to enjoy plenty more IDAHOBIT festivities on Wollongong Campus!
