Leading science centre opens its doors at open day
From smart fabrics to next generation solar cells, learn about our intelligent polymer research on 17 September.
UOW’s Intelligent Polymer Research Institute (IPRI) will host an open day for future students on Wednesday 17 September at Innovation Campus.
IPRI is the lead organisation in the Australian Research Council (ARC) Centre of Excellence for Electromaterials Science (ACES), led by Australian Laureate Fellow Professor Gordon Wallace.
From developing 3D printed medical bionics that may one day hold the key to spinal cord repair to next generation solar cells, Professor Wallace and the IPRI team are internationally recognised leaders in electromaterials research and development of ‘intelligent’ materials and nanotechnology.
At the Institute, students not only work on solutions to some of the world’s greatest challenges, they also receive additional training in communications and business skills.
The IPRI open day will allow potential students to tour the world-class facility, as well as meet current students and potential supervisors. Information about postgraduate and summer scholarships will also be available on the day.
Limited travel grants are available. Please contact us before Friday 5 September.
