UOW astronomer retires after 30 years service

UOW staff and colleagues gathered at the Innovation Campus last week to celebrate the career and achievements of retiring Science Centre Director Glen Moore.

Glen Moore and his wife Elizabeth retired at the end of March after more than 30 years at UOW.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) Professor Judy Raper said Glen had provided the University with long and valuable service as the visionary initiator and long-term director of the Science Centre, which has become the region's most visited indoor tourist attraction.

“The Science Centre embodies Glen's passion for making science and technology accessible to the community, especially young people.

“I'm sure you will all join me in warmly thanking Glen and Elizabeth for their contribution and wishing them well in retirement.”
