UOW ranked as one of the best modern unis in the world
UOW has been ranked in the top 25 young universities in the world for the second consecutive year.
The 2013/2014 QS Top 50 under 50, which ranks the best universities in the world under the age of 50, placed UOW as 22nd in the world and 2nd in Australia.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Paul Wellings said UOW improved two places since last year.
“UOW has moved from strength to strength in recent years in the face of strong global competition.”
“Since UOW gained its autonomy in 1975, we have forged a strong record of achievement as a world-class university with exceptional teaching standards and a strong research environment.”
“This ranking reflects our current position in the top 2 per cent of universities in the world and our ambition to continually strive for excellence.”
