O’Week kicks off the academic year with a splash
UOW welcomes new and returning students with a pool party, free live music and movies under the stars.
The three-day O-Week festival, from 23-25 February, kicked off with a pool party, complete with an oversized inflatable hamster wheel and a slip and slide obstacle course. Wednesday evening will see a pop up outdoor cinema assembled on the Duckpond Lawn for an under-the-stars screening of ‘Jurassic World’. The Festival wraps up on Thursday with the annual GLO-Party at the UniBar, headlined by Triple J’s Alex Dyson and supported by Joyride.
This year UOW is welcoming a record number of students with more than 7,400 new students and almost 16,000 continuing students at UOW’s Australian Campuses, including five regional centres.
