Super Dinner a showcase of community achievement and commitment
South Coast local businesspeople enjoyed a performance by critically acclaimed mezzo soprano, Annette Tesoriero and pianist Lisa Biraldi, both UOW alumni, during an evening of networking and fine foods at Riversdale on 24 February.
UOW was the major sponsor of this year’s Shoalhaven Business Chamber’s Bundanon Trust Super Dinner. The annual event is a great opportunity for members of the business community to celebrate their many successes.
Chief Administrative Officer at UOW, Melva Crouch, CSM, was keynote speaker for the evening.
She said the event provided an excellent opportunity to thank the Shoalhaven business community for their ongoing support.
The University first established a campus in the Shoalhaven in 1993.
“Since then the campus has grown to become an important part of this strong and high-achieving community,” she told attendees.
“The Shoalhaven Campus is here because of the commitment and support from the local community, including organisations like the Shoalhaven Business Chamber and its members together with the support of all three levels of government.
“UOW is committed to continue to provide quality teaching, education, research and community contributions in the Shoalhaven. We look forward to collaborating with the local business community making this a great place to live, work and study,” Ms Crouch said.
UOW has recently reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the work of the Bundanon Trust by committing to a three-year research and education collaboration which includes providing Bundanon with $300,000 in financial support.
