O-Week festival takes centre stage
Inflatable pink flamingos, a pop-up outdoor cinema and live music were just some of the activities on offer at this week’s Orientation Week celebration.
Held at the start of each session, O-Week gives students the opportunity to attend faculty orientation sessions, pick up their students ID cards, relax to some tunes, enjoy a smorgasbord of free food and check out the hub of activity around campus.
The 2017 festival schedule didn’t disappoint, with live performances from stellar musical acts, the UOW clubs and societies out and about in full force and movies under the stars on the Duck Pond Lawn.
When things started to heat up revellers stripped down to their bathers and jumped into the URAC pool for the annual Pool Party – complete with inflatable pink flamingos and a water slide.
For those who wanted to calm their soul (and indulge in a free breakfast), Yoga and Yoghurt was the place to be. Check out the gallery of shenanigans below and on our Flickr page and be sure to #ThisIsUOW in any social posts.
