UOW Global Enterprises wins international business award

Winner of Consumer Services Award for business excellence

UOW Global Enterprises won the Westpac AustCham Australia-China Business Excellence Award for Consumer Services on 28 May for its work in Hong Kong.

There were nearly 200 nominations for eight awards. UOW Global Enterprises triumphed over industry-leading finalists including the AFL, SWISSE, Ego Pharmaceuticals and Port Adelaide Football Club.

 At the business awards, UOW College Hong Kong was acknowledged for delivering an exceptional Australian student experience across its programs.

“The award recognised the value of the services UOW College Hong Kong has been delivering to its 6000 students and its consistent and sustained business excellence, program growth and expansion into China,” UOW Global Enterprises CEO Marisa Mastroianni said.

Since acquiring the College in Hong Kong, the college has gone from strength to strength.

UOW College Hong Kong has grown its market share from 12 to 17 per cent, been awarded a land grant for a new campus and successfully achieved CAP 320 accreditation that will facilitate the vision of transitioning the college to a private university in Hong Kong.

The College now delivers 28 locally accredited associate degrees, one diploma and four UOW degrees. 78 per cent of graduates continue to further studies in degree programs, while the remaining 22 per cent enter the job market after completing associate degrees. Additionally UOW College Hong Kong are very excited to be launching six new bachelor degree programs in September 2019.
