Campus Fest to celebrate start of 2022 at UOW

UOW will host five days of free music, entertainment and study success essentials to kick start the year

To celebrate the return of students to campus, the University of Wollongong has announced it will be hosting its inaugural ‘Campus Fest’ from 21 – 25 February 2022.

The University has partnered with Yours & Owls to bring some of the biggest names in Australian music to the Wollongong campus, with headliners including Montaigne, Ziggy Ramo, and Touch Sensitive.

Also featuring essential orientation activities for new students, alongside entertainment, parties, games, movies, food and much more, Campus Fest provides the perfect opportunity to welcome students back to campus in a safe and engaging way, as the new academic year commences.

Montaigne, Ziggy Ramo, and Touch Sensitive will headline at Campus Fest in February 2022.

“We’ve missed seeing our students on campus – so we’re throwing a party to welcome them back!” UOW Vice-Chancellor Professor Patricia Davidson said.

“We’ve listened to students’ feedback and we know that our vibrant campus life is something our students are missing.

“We want them to be able to experience all that UOW has to offer, so in addition to welcoming new commencing students to our beautiful campus, we’re holding this special event to celebrate and thank returning students and staff for their ongoing support throughout the COVID-19 remote learning period.”

The full Campus Fest program will be released in early 2022.

Activities are being planned across all UOW’s Australian campuses, with more details to be announced shortly.
