University of Wollongong Global Enterprises announces new Chair
John M. Green appointed Chair of Board of Directors

Since 1993, UOW Global Enterprises has grown to become one of Australia's most unique and successful global providers of tertiary education and pathway programs encompassing Vocational, Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelors, Masters and PhDs delivered from our campuses in Dubai, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Australia.
UOW Global Enterprises is delighted to introduce John M. Green as incoming Chair of the UOW Global Enterprises Board, effective 16 May 2022.
Mr Green is a leading company director and a publisher and writer who, previously, had careers in investment banking and law. He is or has been a director of several global enterprises, QBE Insurance Group (where, until recently, he was Deputy Chair), professional engineering services firm Worley, and Challenger, a financial services group. He was also an executive director in Macquarie Group.
He is chairman and co-founder of independent book publisher Pantera Press. He is the author of five crime thriller novels, with a sixth being released later this year.
Mr Green is also a noted philanthropist focused on literacy, education and the arts, and has also served on the boards of a number of not-for-profits.
UOW Vice-Chancellor Professor Patricia M. Davidson said that UOW Global Enterprises is delighted to welcome John to this critical role with the University following a competitive process.

Group Chief Executive Officer of UOW Global Enterprises Marisa Mastroianni said, “John brings to the board a valuable intersection of commercial skills, a passion for education and applied knowledge of international corporate markets that can inform our global initiatives.”
John commented “I am excited to join the UOWGE Board as chair. Education is an important rung in the ladder of opportunity. What UOWGE does to make higher education accessible to so many people across the globe is awe-inspiring. The education sector has experienced significant disruption in recent years but emerging from the pandemic the importance of education, innovation and partnerships have never been so important.”
Mr Green replaces Mr. Peter Robson who has stepped down from the role. Mr Robson chaired the UOW Global Enterprises board since November 2003. UOW Global Enterprises is exceptionally grateful for his service.
