Optus data breach and online privacy
Associate Professor Shahriar Akter can talk about the Optus data breach and ongoing privacy issues. Associate Professor Akter is an expert in artificial intelligence and algorithmic bias, data privacy, and digital innovation. He is an Associate Professor of Digital Marketing, Analytics and Innovation and the Associate Dean of Research in the Faculty of Business and Law.
Stage three tax cuts
Dr Paul Mazzola is a banking and finance expert who can talk about the stage-three tax cuts. Dr Mazzola is a lecturer in banking and finance in the Faculty of Business and Law and has more than 25 years’ banking and finance experience in the Australian, European and Asian pacific markets.
Credit Suisse crisis
Dr Paul Mazzola can also discuss the crisis surrounding Credit Suisse, which Dr Mazzola describes as a ‘ticking time bomb’. Dr Mazzola is a lecturer in banking and finance in the Faculty of Business and Law and has more than 25 years’ banking and finance experience in the Australian, European and Asian pacific markets. He recently published a book that explores the power and greed behind the global financial crisis.
Russia/Ukraine
Dr Stephen Brown can provide commentary on recent developments in the Russia-Ukraine war. The Russian history expert says Putin has thrown out his own playbook with this conflict. Dr Brown is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Humanities and Social Inquiry.
