Would you like to receive a special fellowship, worth over $ 52,000 a year, to complete a PhD in Australia?  If your research may benefit the health or education of Pacific Islander, Aboriginal, or Torres Strait Islander peoples or your research could be relevant to the laws or public policies that affect these communities, you may be eligible to receive the McKinnon Walker Research Fellowship.

You will also be granted opportunities to participate in workshops, mentoring, diverse experiences, and other events that are designed to enhance your leadership capabilities.  Philanthropists, Suzanne Walker and Professor Ken McKinnon AO, a former Vice-Chancellor at the University of Wollongong, funded these fellowships to help develop excellent and enriched scholars who will benefit society outside their specific research discipline.
