About UOW GPREN

The General Practice Research Education Network (GPREN) seeks to bolster research and medical education in general practice by cultivating a dynamic community backed by the Graduate School of Medicine’s General Practice Academic Unit (GPAU) at the University of Wollongong. In a community including with a variety of experts such as General Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Practice Managers, Pharmacists, and Allied Health Professionals, GPREN offers opportunities for research development, collaboration and medical education professional development. 

Membership

Joining GPREN is free of charge and without any obligations. Members can participate as actively as they personally prefer.

By joining GPREN, you’ll be part of a community that fosters GP learning and facilitates the sharing of knowledge and resources. This membership provides opportunities to engage in emerging research projects and hone research skills through Higher Degree Research supervision, Academic GP Registrar positions, research training & mentoring, connections to academic mentors, and research-focussed workshops and events. Additionally, you’ll stay informed about UOW’s practice-based research activities and can access RACGP CPD-approved educational sessions.
