A number of changes will be made to parking across the Wollongong and Innovation campuses in June.
1. Transition to cashless payments via the CellOPark app
From 10 June:
- P1 carparks at both campuses will transition to cashless payments, and the pay stations, boom gates and ticket machines in these carparks will be phased out.
- Payments will need to be made via the CellOPark app. In many instances the app will mean cheaper parking as you'll only be charged for the time you park.
- Some ticket machines at the Wollongong campus casual carparks will also be phased out over the coming months.
- Casual parking will be available via the CellOPark app in designated zones of P3, P4, P5 north and P8 on Wollongong campus.

2. Changes to carpooling
From 22 June (after the Autumn 2024 exam period):
- UOW will no longer have a dedicated carpool carpark available on the Wollongong campus. This is due to a decrease in demand for carpooling over the last few years.
- The former carpool area of the P4 carpark will be made available for parking for vPermits and casual parking, with payments to be made via the CellOPark app.
Alternative options for carpooling are being explored.
