About: Aarhus University has more than 38,000 students, offers more than 65 programmes in English and teaches more than 1000 courses in English. Around 10 per cent of Aarhus University students are international, representing over 100 nationalities and the university welcomes more than 1000 exchange students every year. Aarhus University has three campuses (Aarhus, Herning and Emdrup, Copenhagen), however Aarhus is the main campus.
Aarhus University is also part of the Utrecht network.

- Other - health insurance: All students arriving in Denmark are covered by the Danish Health Securities Act, which offers free health care (from doctors and in hospitals). Danish Health Securities Act does not cover evacuation, repatriation, or personal liability, therefore, separate personal travel insurance is highly recommended.
Students must apply for a CPR number (Danish security number) to have continued access to the free health care system in Denmark. The International Centre organises an event, during your Introduction Week, where you can apply for CPR number as a Nordic citizen, EU/EEA citizen or Non-EU citizen. It is highly recommended that you apply for CPR with the International Centre, during this event.
Study:
- All areas of study are open for UOW exchange students except subjects within the Faculty of Health, as these subjects are only taught in Danish.
- Course catalogue
- Credit load: Mandatory 30 ECTS points
- Subject restrictions: Faculty of Health subjects are not available to UOW exchange students, as they are only taught in Danish.
