Welcome to Wollongong is a an event held by the University of Wollongong and Wollongong City Council to welcome you to studying and living in Wollongong.

Join us every Tuesday in the Student Success Hub for our Lunch and Learn sessions! These sessions are your weekly dose of fun, learning and networking, including engaging talks and hands-on activities. Lunch is provided, with Halal, Vegan, and vegetarian options available. Don’t miss out on the perfect blend of nourishment for you mind and body!

Dates: Every Tuesday starting 30 July (except 1 October)
Time: 12.00 pm – 1.00 pm
Location: Student Success Hub (Ground Floor, Building 19)

No registration required. Spaces are limited so be sure to arrive early to secure your spot.

English Language Conversation Groups are run by senior students in partnership with Illawarra Friends of International Students (IFIS) and are a great way to make friends and practice your English in a warm and welcoming environment.  

When: Every Tuesday, 4 - 6 pm and Friday, 10 - 12 pm 
Where: Student Success Hub, Ground Floor, Building 19, Wollongong campus

Cooking and connection classes are run by senior students in partnership with Illawarra Friends of International Students (IFIS). Cooking classes help you to transition to living independently in Australia and are a great way to make friends.

UOW has a wide range of clubs and societies where you can connect with likeminded people. Becoming involved with a club or society (or multiple!) at UOW is an awesome way to meet new people within your Faculty or with similar interests, build your skills and have fun while studying!
