How is this program run?

This program is running both face-to-face and online.


What will I do?

Working with the Current Student Communications team, you will have the opportunity to create content and digital communication for social media channels, from idea through to production, including:

  • Takeovers
  • Filming and photography on campus and surrounds
  • Interviewing fellow students
  • Vlogging a "day in the life"
  • Creating Reels
  • Suggesting post copy with hashtags
  • Written articles to appear on the UOW website

How will I benefit?

Being a Content Creator is a great way for you to explore creativity via photo, video and written mediums and develop your skills in this area. The success of each task you undertake can be seen through social media analytics, allowing you to analyse how your content performed.

Are there any special requirements for this role?

Students must have their own iPhone to use.


Minimum requirements for UOWx recognition

To receive UOWx Recognition, you must complete the following:

  • An "engaged" student will need to complete a minimum 15 hours in a calendar year
  • A "highly engaged" student will need to complete 25 hours in a calendar year
