This self-paced workshop is available online only.
What is involved?
UOWx has developed a series of self-paced online seminars that provide information relevant to each of the 6 UOWx Learning Streams. Each seminar focuses on a different topic area, aiming to address skills that contribute to personal and professional development. They are designed to take around 2 hours to complete, and include videos from leading UOW Alumni, staff and industry professionals, information and interactive activities.
The Global and Cultural Awareness Learning Stream seminar is titled Developing Your Global Capability Toolkit and you will hear from UOW Staff, Student Support Coordinator Dan Morgan, Global Communicator Coordinator Sharon Twyford; UOW Alumni, Adelaide Haynes and Morgan Ko.
How do I benefit?
This workshop, Developing Your Global Capability Toolkit will explore the following ideas:
- Cultural intelligence
- The world is your campus
- Crafting your global capability toolkit
- Avoiding the rhetoric of the term "global citizen"
How do I register?
You can self-enrol in the UOWx – Online Interactive Seminar Moodle at any time and complete this workshop.
Minimum requirements for UOWx recognition
To receive UOWx Recognition, you must:
- Complete Developing Your Global Capability Toolkit online seminar
- Email the Completion Certificate to uowx@uow.edu.au and it will be added to your UOWx Record
