How is this program run?

This program is running in-person.


What will I do?

The primary role of the Peer Learning Coach is to support students to achieve their study goals. From time management and organisational skills to study and assessment planning, to motivation and discipline content. As a Peer Learning Coach, you will provide peer support through regular communication (online and face-to-face) and by facilitating both booked and drop-in coaching sessions. In addition, you will provide immediate support at the Academic Skills Centre by assisting students to connect with other UOW services and programs.

How do I apply?

If you are interested in applying, the application information will be posted on the UOW Jobs Board during recruitment time. Recruitment will be around August-October.


Are there any special requirements for this role?

To apply for this role, you must be enrolled as a student in an Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree at the University of Wollongong and will still be studying while working in this role. You must have completed at least 2 semesters of study at UOW. Students from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures are encouraged to apply.


Minimum requirements for UOWx recognition

To receive UOWx Recognition, you must complete the following:

  • An "engaged" student will need to complete a minimum 12 hours in a calendar year.
  • A "highly engaged" student will need to complete 24 hours in a calendar year.
