How is this program run?

This program is running face-to-face only.


What will I do?

As a simulated patient you will participate in scripted role-plays and/or physical examinations (not intimate examinations) with medical students.  


How will I benefit?

You will provide the opportunity for medical students to learn and practise their skills in the clinical skills environment of Graduate Medicine. 

Training is provided through face to face sessions and online modules. This includes an introduction to Graduate Medicine, an introduction to simulated patient activities, role-play and feedback instruction and practice.

Are there any special requirements for this role?

Yes, you are required to be proficient in the English language.  


Minimum requirements for UOWx recognition

To receive UOWx recognition, you must complete the following:

  • An "engaged" student will need to complete a minimum of 10 hours within a calendar year
  • A 'highly engaged' student will need to complete a minimum of 20 hours within a calendar year
