How is this program run?

This program is running online and in-person.


What will I do?

Promote the Bachelor of Arts in Western Civilisation Degree - this voluntary role involves participating in promotional outreach activities, speaking at schools and running student-led components of events and activities throughout the year.


How will I benefit?

You will gain experience in

  • Advocating and championing programs and events
  • Designing and executing student-led activities
  • Self-awareness and awareness of others
  • Collaboration, team work and communicating with internal and external stakeholders

The amount and type of experience will vary depending in the activity participated in.

Recruitment and induction continues throughout the year from March until December as per the school's requirements.


Are there any special requirements for this role?

Applicants must be a current student in the School of Liberal Arts.


Minimum requirements for UOWx recognition

To receive UOWx recognition, you must complete:

  • An "engaged" student will need to complete a minimum of 3 hours in a calendar year
  • A "highly engaged" students will need to complete 5 or more hours in a calendar year
