What will I do?

Student Service Officers are the primary administrative information contact point for UOW students, external and internal stakeholders. This position seeks to provide the highest standards of customer service while maintaining adherence to University policy and procedures.

Student Service Officers work across UOW’s front-of-house and back-of-house contact centre operations, providing customer service by being responsible for answering student enquiries via email, phone or face-to-face. The nature of enquiries span the entire student lifecycle from orientation to graduation.

Are there any special requirements for this role?

For this role you must meet the following requirements:

  • Currently enrolled as a UOW Student
  • Availability to work a minimum of two shifts per week rotating shift roster between the hours of 8am and 6pm
  • Availability to occasionally work extended hours and weekends as/when required
  • May be required to work outside of standard business hours or across campuses.

Minimum requirements for UOWx recognition

To receive UOWx Recognition, you must complete the following:

  • An "engaged" student will need to complete a minimum 50 hours in a calendar year
  • A "highly engaged" student will need to complete 80 hours in a calendar year
