What will I do?

A key part of the intern’s volunteer work will focus on social media, marketing and branding. They will contribute to content creation and will liaise with the SUNRISE contacts from other countries about providing updates. The intern will have the opportunity to develop an interview transcript and help develop a video series for YouTube and Instagram that shares the stories of participating research teams across the world. The intern will have the opportunity to assist with the organisation of the SUNRISE affiliated events/webinars (e.g. the SUNRISE Annual General Meeting). The intern will also be invited to participate in these events to network with international researchers.

The intern may also have the opportunity to provide some logistical and technical support to countries by assisting with equipment management and the preparation of equipment for the training of collaborating international research teams.

There are no special requirements.


Minimum requirements for UOWx recognition

To receive UOWx Recognition, you must complete the following:

  • An ‘engaged’ student will need to complete 19 hours in a calendar year
  • A ‘highly engaged’ student will need to complete 40 hours in a calendar year.
