Activity overview

How is this program run?

This program is running face-to-face and online.

What will I do?

Student Representatives play a vital role in UOW College Committees, ensuring that the student voice is heard. Student Representatives participate in decision-making, share student perspectives, and address relevant issues. Collaboration with peers and seeking guidance when needed are key aspects of the role. The UOW College Committees that include Student Representative are:

  • College Academic Board (required to read member’s reports and papers).
  • College Education Committee (required to read member’s reports and papers).
  • Student Advisory Group (does not require reading of papers other than updates on action items raised to be completed).

How will I benefit?

As a UOW College Student Representative, you will learn how complex decisions are made at the college. This role presents opportunities to collaborate with key stakeholders in problem-solving and innovation, fostering skills in governance and solution development. Furthermore, it cultivates confidence in articulating viewpoints and skills applicable beyond student life to enhance future career endeavours.
