How is this program run?

This program is running face-to-face and online.


What will I do?

The UOW Pulse Wellness Ambassador Program is a volunteering leadership program designed to upskill students in the health and well-being field. Whether students are studying Health Promotion, Social Sciences or a-like, or have a special interest/passion for improving others health and wellness, these volunteers will work in line with the Pulse Volunteering program to be the student face of health and wellbeing initiatives on campus.


How will I benefit?

As a Wellness Ambassador you will develop skills in:

  • Communication
  • Event Management
  • Intercultural
  • Teamwork
  • Time Management

Are there any special requirements for this role?

Must be willing to become a registered Pulse Volunteer before being recognised as a Wellness Ambassador.


Minimum requirements for UOWx recognition

To receive UOWx Recognition, you must complete the following:

  • An ‘engaged’ student will need to complete a minimum 20 hours in a calendar year
  • A ‘highly engaged’ student will need to complete 35 hours in a calendar year
