Contracts

Before accepting your offer to live in UOW Student Residence, there are some important things to understand.

Confidentiality

Your contract is a legally binding document between you and the university. It is not the same as a tenancy agreement.

If you would like your parents or other parties (such as an agent) to discuss anything about your residency with UOW, you will need to provide written permission.

Break of contract

Your contract dates are set out in your contract and cannot be altered.

You may apply to be released from your contract early, however fees and a notice period applies.

Misconduct

Your rights and responsibilities while living in residence are set out in your contract. Any misconduct while in residence could result in disciplinary action and affect your studies.

Take some time to familiarise yourself with the community standards. More information about your rights and responsibilities will be given to you at orientation.

If you have any questions about your contract, please contact your Residence Office before signing.
