Overview

Spanish (major)

Studying a language makes you more employable and will prepare you to work in a multicultural and globalised economy. Spanish is the fourth most spoken language in the world, with more than 495 million speakers in 22 countries. Knowing Spanish will increase your employment opportunities with many of the world's leading economies and means you can communicate in the second most used language in international contexts.

Core Spanish language subjects focus on developing spoken and written language skills for use in real-life situations. Core cultural subjects focus on literature, linguistics, and the history, culture, and society of the Spanish-speaking world.
